CHALLENGE

The idea was producing a low cost Bluetooth enabled Kiosk that did not require Wi-Fi connectivity to function. Instead, it works by sending test results to a mobile app installed on the user’s phone.

SOLUTION

The Blood pressure kiosk app captures and displays kiosk readings by using Bluetooth® Smart technology to communicate with the pump module fitted on the Kiosk. The app displays the collected readings along with an indication of whether there is a need for immediate attention in an easy to understand chart. In addition to Blood Pressure, the app also features a BMI calculator that calculates the user’s BMI based on height and weight.

RESULT

The result is that consumers get a convenient and private way of checking whether their medication is effective and pharmacies get the benefit of showcasing their offerings and services.
