SOLUTION

BLE technology was used to interact with the sensors beneath the chair and collect measurements of weight, temperature, humidity etc. These measures were then compared with preset values in the server via RESTful web services. Based on this comparison, users get suggestions on how to improve their posture and reduce damage caused by prolonged sitting.

RESULT

Mobile apps for apps for iOS and Android that allow users to scan and pair with BLE enabled chairs in a room and view sensor measure on the user’s dashboard. Users also receive insightful information on seating postures and can generate reports of their weekly stats.
